Personcentred care, BPSD and cognitiv testing

The National Dementia Day 2009 focus on some highly interesting topics. The dementia research groups in Umeå and Malmö will show data on personcentred care and news on ongoing research on behavioural and psychiatric symptoms in dementia (BPSD). Thereafter new data on cognitive testing in primary care and on "the cognitive screening battery" will be presented. Also, data on long term effects of pharmacological treatment of Alzheimers disease will be given. Finally, an in depth presentation of Lewy Body Dementia will take place.

In summary, the seminar of 2009 will present importart aspects of ongoing research and development on dementia. .

Valuable summarys and handout-material

Akademi Forum seminars provide short articles (summarys of 2-5 pages including litterature references) and handouts of pictures presented in neat practical binders. This is to enable all participants to use the material in furher teaching at their home sites. Original PP-files can be obtained for free from each speaker upon e-mail request, provided the pictures/slides are always cited.
